The inner gallery in Virasat-E- Khalsa museum give us a real description of the origin and development of Sikh religion. It tell us the growth of Sikh religion from first Guru “Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji” to “Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji”. It also explains the preaching methods of different Sikh Gurus in different periods.

1. It shows that the roots of the religion grow through the efforts of first Guru “Shri                  Guru Nanak Dev Ji” who preached the Sikh followers by travelling from one place              to another.

2. Guru Nanak Dev Ji told Sikhs to apply three teachings in their everyday life “Hard              Work”, “Sharing”, and “Praying”. Guru Ji also constructed the “Brotherhood”    and                “Langar System” convections which are still exist today in Sikh religion.

3. The tenth Guru of Sikhs “Guru Gobind Singh Ji” formed Khalsa in 1699 at Anandpur            Sahib which is considered as a modified type of Sikh Religion.

4. Sikhs were told to wear a turban, carrying a comb,wearing a underwear, carrying          a kirpan, wearing a kada.they are the symbols of Sikhism.

5. It reflects us about formation of “Shri guru Granth Sahib Ji” by Guru Arjun Dev Ji               which is a holy scripture of Punjabi culture.

6. This museum presents the most  famous religious place of Punjabi People which is            “Golden Temple”. It has an amazing architecture. The most interesting feature of                 this place are the four gates of it which give message that it is open for everyone                 without discrimination of race, religion, color, and caste.

So,Virasat-E-Khalsa defines the roots, growth and present status of Sikh religion all of       the world and in the hearts of Punjabi People.                                                                                   Reference:
